Purchasing Antique and Vintage Pieces
We're all about curating unique, quality pieces for you.
If required we will seek a quality assessment or certification from our gemologist prior to sale.
Our pieces are antique, vintage or estate meaning that they are second-hand and have been loved before. This means that these pieces are not new and will have signs of wear, but we will always note any condition issues in our product descriptions. If you have any questions or concerns, just let us know.
Keep in mind that the photos of our pieces form part of the product description. They may not always show the true shine of diamonds and gems, so make sure to take a closer look at the written descriptions and you are welcome to request extra images we're happy to provide.
When you complete the purchase, you're confirming that you've seen the pictures and understood the description and are accepting of the item's condition.
Valuations
Please note that a valuation, appraisal, or certification isn't typically included with your jewellery purchase.
However, if there's an exception and one is included with your purchase, we'll make sure to mention it in the product description.
Following your purchase
After you've received your jewellery, we don't cover any normal wear and tear that might happen over time.
Also, please keep in mind that we don't offer refunds just because you changed your mind or made a mistake in your choice. Our return policies follow the guidelines set by the QLD Office of Fair Trading.
Should you have any questions or issues with your purchase upon receipt of the item, please reach out to us within three days.
After that, we can't guarantee any solutions for any potential problems since the item will be in your possession and any damage that occurs won't be our responsibility.
Post purchase care
We don't cover normal wear and tear or any post-purchase maintenance that you might choose to do with your own jeweller.
We highly suggest being cautious when picking a jeweller for such work, including cleaning, as not all jewellers have the knowledge and experience to work with antique or vintage jewellery.
They might suggest changes that could compromise the integrity of the piece, like modifying it or heavily cleaning it.
We advise against any work that could result in irreversible damage to antique pieces and we won't be responsible for any loss of value or changes made after the purchase.
Returns
We do not offer refunds due to change of mind.
If you need to return or exchange, an item due to it being inaccurately described, you must get in touch with us within three days of receiving the item.
It's important that you return all the original materials, such as the ring box, packing inserts, and cards, along with the jewellery piece.
If you haven't contacted us to arrange a return and posted it within this 3-day window, we reserve the right to decline the return.
Please note that the cost of returning the item is the customer's responsibility, and all returns must be sent using an express box for shipping, not a satchel. The posted item must include insurance cover to the value of the purchase – as we include when we send the item to you. We recommend taking a picture of the box before shipping as a precaution in case the item is lost or damaged during delivery.
Once we receive the item, we'll inspect it to make sure it's in its original condition before processing the refund.
Please note: we don't accept returned items that have been altered or resized from the original condition we sold them in. We can't control, endorse, or be responsible for the work done by other tradespeople. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if any of the above criteria haven't been met.
We keep an extensive range of product photos in order to comply with licence conditions.
