A lovely antique Albertina chain in 9ct gold, beautifully crafted as a multi-woven strand chain. Several finely twisted, rope-like strands come together to create a richly textured and elegant design, finished with ornately decorated, barrel-shaped clasp fittings.
The original clasp was not functioning correctly and has been replaced with a rolled gold clasp, allowing this beautiful antique chain to be worn with confidence.
Many Albertinas are either too long or too short to comfortably wear as a bracelet, but this one is particularly wearable, fitting a wrist of approximately 17cm, as shown.
A wonderful example of antique jewellery that combines beautiful craftsmanship, intricate detail and everyday wearability, with all the character and charm of a piece from a bygone era.
