A romantic ring in 19th century design featuring a richly hued heart-shaped garnet surrounded by fifteen rose-cut diamonds, delicately set in gold and silver. The central garnet displays beautiful depth of colour and minor surface wear consistent with age.
The ring bears a 15ct stamp and tests as 14ct gold with the diamonds set in silver, characteristic of the craftsmanship of the period. The softly shimmering rose-cut diamonds lend a gentle sparkle, designed to charm under the candlelit ballrooms of the era. Now they serve to enhance the warm tones of the garnet and the antique charm of the setting.
