9ct rose gold, overlaid with a high carat yellow gold wash. Fully hallmarked to underside of setting, Macrow & Son with a kangaroo stamp.
Oval shaped bangle of hollow rose gold, the top section detailed by a curved rectangular shaped panels, with rope twist. Inside the panel are three split pearls with garnet topped doublets separating them. Knife edge profile, hinged with fitted safety chain (see condition note on safety chain). Clasp opens and closes in good condition with that satisfying click.

Stamps: Macrow & Son, 9, kangaroo to reverse of decorative panel and on clasp.
Condition: good antique condition. Safety chain is gold plated silver and is broken - (has previously been tied) If preferred the safety chain can be removed prior to shipping (no extra cost).
Founded in Melbourne 1891 by Albert and William Macrow, becoming A Macrow & Sons in 1900. It is likely they were the first substantial chain of retail jewellers operating throughout Australia. They had stores in all states and by 1910 fifteen stores in Victoria alone. A.Macrow & Sons traded in Adelaide until the 1950s.
