Designed by Caty Latham who has designed for Hermès for over 40 years, "Neige d'Antan' translates as 'Snow of Yesteryear' evoking a nostalgic vision of frost-laced landscapes and softly falling snow. First released in 1989, then in 2006 it is also referenced in Latham's 'Soleil de Soie (also available).
Intricately composed, the scarf features lace-like motifs reminiscent of ice crystals, filigreed frost, and drifting snowflakes, arranged in a refined, rhythmic pattern that suggests gentle movement across the silk. Subtle contrasts and tonal shifts enhance the sense of depth, giving the impression of light shimmering over a winter surface.
